  1. I think that the lyrics and questions that this song asks are very good questions to ask. If there is so much hurt and suffering in this world how can we be thinking of the Kingdom of God? I think that there are some ways in which we can see the Kingdom of God in our society like when the song talks about preachers and shows MLKJ I think that that was a very important time in our history that really showed people how they needed to care. I think it was a sign that was not a normal act that got peoples attention and showed that some people were willing to see and follow the act that stood out of the normal day to day experiences. I don't think that there are many people who know why they do things from day to day. That is just what they have always done and they do not know how to break out of that cycle. I think that it is very important to break out of our cycles and experience new things and the Kingdom of God.

  3. After listening to this song, I also questioned how much repeated sin our society has accepted. Just because we have done things over and over again does not make them any less sinful. In order to change the way we live and to start acting out the "kingdom" of God, it takes radical people such as Martin Luther King Jr. He was strong enough to rebel against the socially accepted segregated world we lived in. It takes people like MLK to wake every one up to the unjust world we live in.

I really enjoyed this song because it got me to think of what I may be doing to continue that cycle and it helped me realize what I need to change. Once more people begin to break this viscous cycle, the closer we will be to the Kingdom of God.

  4. I think that when people have power over others they feel to be stronger than others. This superior feeling cause them to lose all senses of empathy with the people who are different from themselves. When someone loses a sense of connection it becomes easier to assert force on them without caring of the consequences. When a person has power they must not ever lose the sense of solitude with the human race or else they will indefinitely end up how the song and images portray them.
